How quickly are results available?

Most rapid diagnostic tests provide results within 15 to 30 minutes, making them extremely useful for prompt treatment decisions, particularly in emergency or remote settings.

Can this test miss a malaria infection?

Yes, if parasite levels are very low or certain less common species are involved, a rapid test can occasionally give a false negative, which is why persistent symptoms despite a negative test warrant further evaluation.
