About Epileptology
Epileptology focuses on diagnosing and treating epilepsy, a condition of recurring seizures. Most people with epilepsy can become seizure-free with the right medicine, taken regularly.
Diagnosis uses a detailed description of seizures, EEG and MRI. For seizures that do not respond to two medicines, video EEG and surgery evaluation may help. Seizures lasting more than five minutes are an emergency. Never stop medicines suddenly.
