About Precision Oncology
Precision oncology matches treatment to the genetic features of a person's tumour, using tests on tumour tissue or blood to find targets for specific drugs.
It can offer tablets with fewer side effects than chemotherapy for some lung and other cancers. Not every cancer has a target, and testing should be guided by an oncologist.
