Venereology

Venereology is the branch of medicine that deals with sexually transmitted infections. In India it is part of dermatology training, and care is confidential and non-judgemental.

Many infections cause no early symptoms, so testing after a risk is important. Most bacterial infections are cured with antibiotics, and viral infections can be managed. Treat partners at the same time and use condoms to prevent reinfection.
