📖What is Phimosis?

Phimosis is a condition in which the foreskin of the penis cannot be fully retracted over the glans, either due to it being naturally tight in young boys, a normal developmental stage that usually resolves by adolescence, or due to scarring from chronic infection or inflammation in older boys and men, known as pathological phimosis. While physiological phimosis in infants and toddlers is normal and typically requires no treatment, persistent or pathological phimosis can cause difficulty with urination and hygiene, and increases the risk of infection.
