🔬How Thyroidectomy is Performed

• 1Pre-operative assessment — blood work, ECG, imaging, and fitness for general anesthesia
• 2Administration of general anesthesia by the anaesthesia team
• 3Surgical access — incisions or ports created based on open or minimally invasive approach
• 4Core procedure: Partial or complete removal of the thyroid gland, performed to treat thyroid cancer, hyperthyroidism, large goiters, or suspicious thyroid nodules.
• 5Haemostasis, drain placement if needed, and systematic closure of surgical layers
• 6Transfer to recovery room for anaesthesia reversal and vital-sign monitoring
