Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)

Days 1–3 (Hospital)

Closely monitored in hospital. Pain managed with IV/oral medications. Early mobility encouraged to prevent clots. Wound checked daily.

Week 1–2 (Home Rest)

Discharged home with wound care instructions. Rest is essential. Outpatient follow-up visit. Light walking encouraged.

Week 3–6 (Recovery)

Gradual return to light activities. Physiotherapy begins if required. Wound heals; sutures or staples removed. Diet restrictions ease.

Month 2+ (Full Recovery)

Most patients return to normal activities within 4–6 weeks. Follow-up imaging may be done to confirm surgical success.
