• 1Pre-operative assessment — blood work, ECG, imaging, and fitness for general anesthesia
• 2Administration of general anesthesia by the anaesthesia team
• 3Surgical access — incisions or ports created based on open or minimally invasive approach
• 4Core procedure: Surgical correction of congenital cleft lip and/or cleft palate in infants and children to restore normal lip anatomy, facial appearance, speech, and feeding function.
• 5Haemostasis, drain placement if needed, and systematic closure of surgical layers
