About Stereotactic Radiosurgery
Stereotactic radiosurgery delivers a very precise, high dose of radiation in one or a few sessions to small targets in the brain or body, without an incision. SBRT applies similar principles to tumours elsewhere, such as early lung cancer.
It is typically painless, done as outpatient treatment and suits selected tumours. Accuracy depends on careful planning and quality-assured equipment.
