About Interventional Pulmonology
Interventional pulmonology uses scopes and small instruments to diagnose and treat lung and airway problems without open surgery. Bronchoscopy lets the doctor see inside the airways and take samples.
EBUS samples lymph nodes in the chest, important in diagnosing lung cancer and TB. Coughing blood or a non-resolving shadow on chest X-ray needs prompt evaluation.
