About Histopathology
Histopathology examines tissue removed by biopsy or surgery under the microscope to diagnose cancer and other diseases, and guide treatment. The pathology report is often the most important document in cancer care.
Ask for a copy of the report and, if you want a second opinion, for the slides and blocks to be reviewed by another pathologist.
