About Cataract Surgery
A cataract is clouding of the eye's natural lens, the commonest cause of treatable blindness in India. Vision becomes blurred, colours fade and night glare increases.
Surgery replaces the cloudy lens with a clear artificial lens, usually as a short day-care procedure with a quick recovery. Different lens types (monofocal, multifocal, toric) have different costs and benefits; ask which suits your lifestyle.
