About Hepatobiliary Gastroenterology
Hepatobiliary gastroenterology treats diseases of the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts and pancreas. Many stones and strictures in the bile duct are treated without open surgery, using an endoscopic procedure called ERCP.
Yellow eyes with pale stools and itching suggest a blocked bile duct and need prompt evaluation with ultrasound and liver tests.
