About Neuro Anaesthesia
Neuroanaesthesia is the anaesthetic care for brain and spine surgery. The aim is to keep the brain well supplied with oxygen and blood, control pressure inside the skull and allow prompt waking for neurological checks.
In awake craniotomy, the patient is conscious during part of surgery to protect speech and movement.
