Liver Function Test

Fast for 8–12 hours

Drink only water. Avoid food, beverages, and medications (unless prescribed) before the test.

Stay well hydrated

Drink plenty of water before your blood draw. Hydration makes veins easier to locate and reduces discomfort.

Inform about medications

Tell the lab technician about any medications, supplements, or herbal remedies you're taking as these may affect results.

Avoid strenuous exercise

Refrain from heavy physical exercise 24 hours before the test as it can temporarily alter certain blood parameters.

Wear comfortable clothing

Wear loose-fitting clothes with easy access to your arm for the blood draw.
