Causes of Premature Ejaculation
The precise cause of premature ejaculation is not fully understood but is believed to involve a combination of biological factors such as heightened penile sensitivity or altered serotonin receptor sensitivity affecting ejaculatory control, and psychological factors such as performance anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, or early sexual experiences that established a pattern of rushing to ejaculation. In some cases, it can be associated with an underlying condition such as prostate inflammation, thyroid dysfunction, or, in acquired cases, erectile dysfunction, where anxiety about maintaining an erection leads to rushing intercourse.
