Causes of Chlamydia
Chlamydia is caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis, transmitted through vaginal, anal, or oral sexual contact with an infected partner. Risk factors for infection include having multiple sexual partners, inconsistent condom use, a prior history of sexually transmitted infections, and being sexually active at a younger age.
