Causes of Fracture
Most fractures result from acute trauma such as falls, motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, or direct blows to a bone. Stress fractures occur from repetitive mechanical loading over time, while pathological fractures occur in bone weakened by osteoporosis, infection, or tumors even with minor trauma.
