Causes of Anxiety

Anxiety disorders are believed to result from a combination of genetic predisposition, differences in brain chemistry and the regulation of stress-response neurotransmitters, and environmental factors such as significant life stress, trauma, or chronic health conditions. A family history of anxiety or other mental health conditions increases individual risk, suggesting an inherited component alongside environmental triggers.
