Causes of Bone Tumour
Primary bone tumours arise from genetic mutations within bone-forming or bone-marrow cells, with risk increased by prior radiation exposure, certain inherited genetic syndromes, and pre-existing bone conditions like Paget's disease. Metastatic bone tumours result from cancer cells spreading through the bloodstream from a primary cancer elsewhere in the body. The exact trigger for most primary bone cancers, particularly in adolescents, remains unclear.
