Causes of Pyloric Stenosis
The exact cause is not fully understood, but it is believed to result from a combination of genetic and environmental factors that lead to progressive thickening of the pyloric muscle over the first weeks of life. Risk factors include being a firstborn male child, a family history of pyloric stenosis, and exposure to certain antibiotics in early infancy.
