Types of Chemotherapy Infusion
Chemotherapy can be given as neoadjuvant therapy before surgery to shrink a tumor, adjuvant therapy after surgery to kill remaining cells, or palliative therapy to control symptoms and slow progression in advanced cancer. It may be administered as a single agent or in combination regimens, and through different routes including intravenous infusion, oral tablets, or, less commonly, injections into specific body cavities.
