Types of Septoplasty
Septoplasty can be performed as a standalone procedure or combined with turbinate reduction to address enlarged nasal turbinates contributing to blockage, or with rhinoplasty (septorhinoplasty) when the external nasal shape also needs correction. Endoscopic septoplasty, using a camera for better visualization, has become the preferred modern technique over traditional open approaches.
