WHO reference values put the lower limit at roughly 15 million sperm per millilitre, with about 39 million total per ejaculate, at least 40% motile, and 4% normal forms. Values below reference reduce but don't eliminate fertility.
18 million/ml is above the WHO lower reference limit of about 15 million/ml. Motility and morphology matter alongside concentration.
Counts vary considerably between samples. A single result should be repeated after 6-12 weeks before drawing conclusions, since sperm production takes about 74 days.
