Lipid Profile (Complete) Test in Karnataka

A lipid profile is recommended for:

• All adults over 20 as a baseline cardiovascular screening
• Anyone with a family history of heart disease or high cholesterol
• People with diabetes, obesity, or high blood pressure
• Smokers, given their elevated cardiovascular risk
• Monitoring the effectiveness of cholesterol-lowering treatment
• Every 4–6 years for low-risk adults, more frequently for those with risk factors
