Types of Pyloroplasty

The Heineke-Mikulicz technique makes a longitudinal incision across the pylorus and closes it transversely to widen the opening, and is the most commonly used approach. The Finney technique creates a wider connection between the stomach and duodenum for more severe narrowing, and both can be performed through open surgery or laparoscopically depending on the surgeon's approach and the patient's overall condition.
