Fasting 70–99 mg/dL; 100–125 indicates prediabetes; 126 or above on two occasions indicates diabetes. Two hours after eating, under 140 is normal. HbA1c under 5.7% is normal, 5.7–6.4% prediabetes, 6.5% or above diabetes.
