Partially. Weekend recovery sleep restores alertness somewhat but doesn't fully reverse metabolic and cognitive effects of chronic restriction. Consistency across the week is more effective than a weekend rescue.

Large weekend shifts also cause 'social jet lag', making Monday harder. Keeping wake time within about an hour across the week works better.
