Why Arthroscopy (Knee) Is Needed
Knee arthroscopy is recommended when imaging or examination suggests a torn meniscus, damaged articular cartilage, a loose bone or cartilage fragment, or ligament injury that hasn't responded to conservative treatment like rest and physiotherapy. It's also used to investigate unexplained knee pain, swelling, or locking when the exact cause isn't clear on X-ray or MRI alone. Persistent synovitis or suspected infection inside the joint can be another reason.
