It's genuinely valuable for cardiovascular health, mood, and weight maintenance. But it doesn't provide sufficient resistance stimulus for bone density and muscle mass, so add strength work twice a week.

Walking covers cardiovascular health, mood and weight maintenance well, but it does little for upper body strength and provides limited loading for bone density.
